TINDARI. Percorrendo la riviera tirrenica raggiungiamo il villaggio di Tindari, famoso per il suo santuario dedicato alla MADONNA NERA. All’interno si conserva la statua raffigurante la Madonna col Bambino, proveniente dal Mediterraneo orientale. Nelle vicinanze del santuario si trova la zona archeologica, con testimonianze dell’antica colonia greca Tyndaris. TINDARI. Crossing the Tyrrhenian coastline we reach the village of TINDARI, famous for the Sanctuary dedicated to the BLACK MADONNA. Inside it’s the statue representing Virgin Mary and Child coming from the Eastern Mediterranean. Nearby the Sanctuary there is the archeological area, with testimonies of the ancient Greek colony named Tyndaris.
